My passion for the outdoors has shaped my life from the start. I’m an Oregon native and proud Oregon State Beaver, class of ’94.

I first met Mike Gorman at the Scarlet Ibis Fly Shop in Corvallis, where he told me, “If you can’t catch a steelhead on the Deschutes, you can’t catch a steelhead.” Challenge accepted. I learned to row, cast a spey rod, and run a jet boat on the Deschutes the hard way – through trial, error, and a few bruises. Years later, it’s still my favorite river and my home water, where you’ll find me chasing trout and steelhead year-round.

I started guiding on the Deschutes in 2009, running one of the toughest stretches on earth with zero experience but a lot of drive. Today, I run my own program built on skill, honesty, and respect for the river. I run the best boat, fish the best water at the best times, and help my clients become better anglers – all while having a blast.

I’m a licensed, bonded Oregon and Washington guide and outfitter, hold US Coast Guard credentials, two BLM permits (Deschutes and John Day Rivers), and full insurance coverage.
